A new look for Southampton is emerging, creating a city centre comparable with the best in Europe and offering a vibrant, exciting, well designed and maintained sense of place for all who live, visit, work and study in the city. Approximately £800 million of new development is either underway or about to start in Southampton, including the city's emerging Cultural Quarter, huge public realm improvements including the QE2 Mile, and developments at West Quay.
