Sales Skills for Technology Companies Workshop

Southampton Hub are running a day of workshops and seminars for the benefit of small, high technology companies selling innovative technical products.

Date: Tuesday 11th November 2008
Time: 9.15 am – 4.05 pm
Venue: 2 Venture Road, Southampton Science Park
Cost: £50 (including refreshments)

The day will be of value to those with experience in sales who need to refresh their skills as well as those who are newly appointed to an organisation and are wishing to increase sales.

The day will begin with registration and coffee at 9.15am followed by an introduction by Rosalind Marsh form UKTI. The day will include an ‘Essential Sales Training’ workshop run by Claudine Hall from Creative Alliances. Claudine Hall is an inspiring business professional with strong commercial and training experience. This workshop will look at proven sales planning techniques, ‘steps for success’ in the sales process and teach you how to turn objections around into opportunities.

There will also be a ‘Selling Through International Partners’ workshop given by Andrew Whiteman from Open Globe Marketing who has sales, channel management and sales management experience in the IT industry. The ‘Selling through International Partners’ workshop will focus on the value of different kinds of partnerships to your business and your ability to work with them to achieve your goals.

The day will commence with an ‘Understanding Buyer Behaviour’ and ‘Marketing and Selling’ workshop run by Jon Smith from Potential V who has worked in the technology industry for over 25 years. This workshop will cover a number of issues in the marketplace that can be utilised to increase the attractiveness of your offer to customers and improve your sales closure rate.

There will also be a chance for networking with other people on the workshop at lunch. This is a brilliant chance to fill in some gaps you or your employees may have about winning new business and will be beneficial to everyone attending.
